The Debut
Everyone has something that enraptures them. Something that captures their attention during long car rides, that occupies their thoughts as they drift to sleep, that they cannot seem to get off of their mind.
My thoughts are obsessed with the structure of a magic system, the geography of another realm, the history of a character and how that twines into the fate of another.
I have always been a storyteller.
But I have not always shared this.
Crafting shreds of ideas into a developed novel is a difficult and laborious process that requires the very heart of the writer to be poured out across the pages. I loved the craft but I was too nervous to share my stories. Doubts and fears hindered me, though I could not stop writing.
As I continue to refine my novels I no longer want to keep this passion a secret. Stories are meant to be shared not hidden.
If I am a writer, why pretend that I am not?
I am a storyteller.
I believe that writing is a creative endeavor worth experimenting with that contains a message within every plot structure.
I write fantasy novels woven with magic and intrigue that explore the black, the white, and the grey in-between. I experiment with character, plot, and prose to craft tales that reflect the complexities of our lives.
My novel, Seven Lives Saved, is at the stage of developmental edits to prepare the manuscript for self-publication.
As I take this next step to embrace the creative process and immerse myself in the world of self-publishing I am nervous and excited. This will be a process of learning and growth and I would love to have you embark with me on the adventure!
